The Australian Procurement and Construction Council (APCC), the peak body for government building and construction policy in Australia and New Zealand, has released new guidelines for procurement and contracting for road, bridge and non-residential building projects. “The guidelines specifically respond to a range of issues raised by industry. They outline a process for developing procurement strategies and establish a series of common tendering and contracting principles which have been agreed to by all Australian states and territories.”

Of course it remains for all consultants to utilise this in advice and negotiations with clients and project managers in most sectors of the industry.
